Swedish Meatballs

Directions

1Moisten bread with water and add egg, onion and seasonings. Mix in meat and shape into small meatballs. Brown lightly in 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of shortening. Cover and cook slowly 15 minutes.

Freeze well

2 1/2 pounds ground round

1 pound ground pork

1 egg

3 slices white bread minus crust

1/2 onion, grated

whole allspice, crushed fine

salt and pepper
