Directions

1Melt butter and chocolate in a heavy saucepan over medium-low heat.

2Stir in sugar, evaporated milk, corn syrup, and salt; cook over medium heat, stirring gently, 5 minutes or just until sugar dissolves and sauce is smooth.

3Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.

4Cool to room temperature. Pour into jars.

5Cover and chill.

6Serve warm.

1/2 cup butter

4 ounces sweet chocolate (German Chocolate)

1 cup sugar

5 ounces evaporated milk

1 tablespoon light corn syrup

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla
