0 Full-screen Rye Bread Breads December 24, 2016 This is a rich dense bread; great for sandwiches. Prep: 1 hrs 30 mins Cook: 50 mins Yields: 2 loaves Directions 1Dissolve the yeast in warm water and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let stand 10 minutes. 2Add rest of ingredients except flours. 3Sift rye flour into mixture and let stand 10-15 minutes. 4Knead in 6 to 7 cups of white flour. 5Knead at least 10 minutes or until dough is smooth and not sticky. 6Let rise until double.
