An elegant presentation.
1Remove puff pastry from freezer. Let thaw 20-30 minutes.
2Mix cream cheese and chives, salt and pepper together well.
3Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into four squares.
4Spread puff pastry pieces with cream cheese mixture.
5Lay a chicken breast onto puff pastry and wrap pastry around chicken. Seal tightly by brushing edges with beaten egg; pinch together with fingers.
6Place seam-side down on a pan. Brush completely with beaten egg.
7Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes.
1 sheet frozen puff pastry
4 chicken breast halves without skin
8 ounces cream cheese
2 tablespoons chives, finely chopped
salt and pepper
1 egg, beaten
