1Melt butter in skillet, add celery, onion and garlic. Sauté until soft and lightly browned. Dust meat with flower and salt and pepper. Stir in the sugar, tomatoes, mushrooms and bullion and wine.
2Transfer to a 3 qt. buttered casserole dish and cover. Bake @ 350 for 2 hours.

4This is a wonderful stew and easy because you don't have to brown the meat. It makes a great company meal served with a toss salad and a good loaf of French bread. After the stew has been in the oven your house will smell delish!
