A simple, spicy banana cake.

Directions

1In a large bowl, mix eggs, sugar, sour cream, bananas and vanilla until well blended.

2In another bowl, stir together all the dry ingredients, except the powdered sugar.

3Stir flour mixture into banana mixture just until well blended.

4Scrape batter into a buttered and floured 9-inch square baking pan.

5Bake in a 350 degree oven 30-35 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center of the cake comes out with moist crumbs attached.

6Dust with powdered sugar before cutting into squares to serve.

2 large eggs

1 cup sour cream

1 cup sugar

1 cup ripe bananas, mashed (about 2, 12 ounces)

1 tsp vanilla

2 cups flour

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1/8 tsp ground ginger

1/8 tbsp ground cloves

powdered sugar
