  • Prep: 30 mins
  • Cook: 45 mins
  • Yields: 4 Servings

Directions

1Peel the potato, then shave off slices with a peeler.

2Stack a few slices on top of each other and cut thin strands of potato. Four or five slices make enough strand for one web.

3Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in an 8" nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.

4When the oil is hot, scatter the potato strands to make a web pattern.

5Reduce the heat and carefully arrange the strands with a fork.

6The web holds together best if the strands crisscross each other.

7Flip the web over when it's really golden on one side, about 5-7 minutes.

8Fry the other side until it browns, another minute.

9Transfer web to baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

10Continue frying webs, then set aside until you are ready to serve.
