Oatmeal-Raisin Cookies

Directions

1Preheat oven to 375.

2Beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.

3Beat in egg and vanilla.

4Combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices; add to butter mixture, mixing well.

5Stir in oats and raisins.

6Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

7Bake 8 to 9 minutes.

Freeze well.

1 1/4 cups butter

3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

3 cups oatmeal

1 cup raisins
