Directions

Cake

1Mix together dry ingredients.

2Combine boiling water and butter.

3Combine all remaining ingredients.

4Pour hot water mixture over dry ingredients; add buttermilk and egg mixture. Beat well. Bake in a greased jellyroll pan at 350 for 20 - 25 minutes.

Frosting

1Combine first three ingredients and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and about 1/2 box of powdered sugar. When well mixed add pecans or walnuts.

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup water, boiling

2 cubes butter

2 eggs, slightly beaten

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon vanilla

Frosting

1/2 cup butter, melted

5 tablespoons milk

3 tablespoons cocoa

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 box powdered sugar

1 cup pecans, chopped
